In Episode 2 of Beyond, titled Tempus Fugit, Holden Matthews attempts to adjust to his new life after waking up from a 12-year coma. Despite his efforts to lead a "normal" life, Holden struggles with strange memories and unexplained abilities. His younger brother, Luke, tries to help him acclimate by taking him to a college party, where Holden meets a friendly co-ed. However, the evening takes a turn when Holden's memories of Willa, a mysterious woman who warned him of danger, resurface, leading to disastrous consequences.
Meanwhile, Holden's parents, Diane and Tom, try to reconnect with him as an adult. Diane is determined to protect Holden, while Tom remains emotionally withdrawn. The episode explores the challenges Holden faces as he navigates a world that has changed significantly during his coma, all while grappling with the supernatural abilities he has acquired.
