Netosis Episode 1 introduces a gripping and modern tale of obsession, technology, and the blurred lines between online personas and real-life consequences. The episode sets the stage for a psychological thriller centered around Aoi, a socially reclusive college student who becomes entangled in the dangerous web of an online influencer known only as “Eris.” What starts as casual curiosity spirals into a chilling exploration of the internet’s darker side. Aoi stumbles upon Eris’s livestream by chance, drawn in by her magnetic charm and cryptic messages that seem eerily personal. As Aoi begins to engage with Eris’s online community, he discovers hidden layers to her content—hidden messages, unsettling imagery, and a growing sense that her broadcasts are not meant to entertain but to manipulate. Strange occurrences start bleeding into Aoi’s real life, from anonymous texts to bizarre coincidences that suggest Eris knows more about him than she should. The tension ramps up when Aoi notices others in the chat exhibiting obsessive behavior, each seemingly convinced Eris is speaking directly to them. The episode ends on a nerve-wracking cliffhanger as Aoi discovers a disturbing connection between Eris and a recent string of disappearances in his city, leaving him questioning whether he’s stumbled onto a game, a cult, or something far more sinister.
